EARTH-i, the British satellite and image data company, today announced it will be supplying very high-resolution image data to the Province of Saskatchewan in Canada. Using data from the DMC3/TripleSat Constellation of very high-resolution satellites, Earth-i will assist the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment by supplying imagery products for forestry harvest mapping projects.
Paul Majmader, Commercial Director said; “I am delighted that we have an opportunity to demonstrate the value of our data to our friends in Saskatchewan and the wider Canadian market. Following our success in delivering wide area mapping services to the government of Queensland in Australia we are excited about similar opportunities for governments and agencies with needs on this scale. DMC3/TripleSat data is ideal for both large scale coverage and very high-resolution detail.”
Winning the Saskatchewan contract follows on from Earth-i’s completion of its second year of data collection for the government of the State of Queensland, Australia. Earth-i is the prime contractor for full coverage of the State using the DMC3/TripleSat Constellation.
