  • Earth-i to join the Technology and Transition session at Utility Week Live

Earth-i is pleased to announce that Paul Majmader, Commercial Director, will be speaking at Utility Week Live to showcase how satellite imagery is presenting new opportunities to transform the utilities sector.
The conference session, entitled Technology and Tradition, will examine the potential of key technologies and assess their impact on the utilities sector. Paul’s presentation, entitled ‘Unleashing the potential of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’, will cover how satellite imagery, when combined with leading Artificial Intelligence technology, can automate tasks and unlock methods that could be used to tackle a range of issues across the sector. Paul will be joined by Ollie Machan, Innovation lead at SGN and Zoe Klienman, technologist and BBC presenter.
Utility Week Live is the UK’s leading utilities industry exhibition and attended by over 3,000 senior utilities professionals from energy retailers, gas and electricity network operators, water companies, water and wastewater companies, and water retailers. This year’s event is being held at the NEC Birmingham on May 21 & 22 2019.
Earth-i has recently been working with a number of water companies to identify water leaks. Earth-i uses a combination of very high and medium resolution optical satellite imagery, along with other complementary data sets, to identify potential water leaks along the network.
Paul Majmader commented: “Imagery from Space is becoming an integral data source in ways that most people wouldn’t expect, and in industries that seem far-removed from space. Exploiting new data analytics is critical to innovation, and I’m keen to showcase how this technology can make a huge difference in the utilities industry that affects everyone”
If you’d like to book a one-to-one meeting with Paul, please email enquiries@earthi.space.co.uk with your preferred date and time.
